DIRECTOR OF MINISTRY

Aaron and Angie moved from Kansas City in July 2016 to serve with USAFA BSU. Aaron became the Director of the ministry in June of 2022. Aaron served previously as an Outreach Pastor and Angie is a nurse. Aaron graduated from Gateway Seminary in December of 2024. Aaron and Angie both had impactful spiritual life change in their college-age years and believe these experiences are why God has led them to serve in college ministry. Discipling and doing life with cadets has become a passion for both of them. They have four amazing children, Ally, Caden, Karis, and Anna.

THE REAL BOSS

Hi! I’m Mary Kathryn, MK for short. USAFA and BSU have been a huge part of my life for a long time. My dad was stationed here the very first year the Academy opened. That’s when I fell in love with USAFA and this is also when I gave my heart to Jesus. I returned to CO for college, and spent many weekends at the BSU house on Cascade downtown. In 2001 God brought me back here to become a part of the BSU ministry team. I’m so thankful. Worshipping, studying, discipling cadets is a joy and an honor, and I pray God continues to bless BSU at USAFA.

MINISTRY MISSIONARY

Nick grew up in Colorado Springs. He was raised in the church but was not saved until he was 21. Nick loves people and invites others into his life and into a life with Jesus. He has grown in his passion for discipleship as he has grown closer and closer to the Lord. Nick feels led into serving the cadets at the Academy as well as to the young adults in Colorado Springs.

SUPER VOLUNTEER

Bill served as the BSU Director for 17 years before being led into pastoring a local church, Cross Fellowship Palmer Park. Bill graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO and then graduated from Gateway Seminary. He was Angie W’s youth pastor and married Aaron and Angie. Bill and his wife Kelly have four children: Morgan Pauley (married to Landon), Mollie Crown (married to Tyler), Matthew (married to Caroline), and Maddie. They also have four grandchildren.

WORSHIP LEADER

Brandon began serving with BSU in the winter of 2024 and has been a great addition to the team. His love for the Lord and for people is amazing. The goal for Brandon is to build a team of cadets that can lead the ministry into a time of worship during the SPIRE time as well as at events. Brandon is married to his wife Hannah who is an elementary teacher. He also serves in the community of Colorado Springs as a real estate agent and he pastors a local church, Anchorpoint Church.
